Highgate International Chamber Music Festival Nov 29th - Dec 7th 2014

The Highgate International Chamber Music Festival is returning for its third year with six concerts taking place in St. Anne's Church and Lauderdale House during the period Saturday 29th November - Sunday 7th December. Please do come along and enjoy these unique chamber music concerts! Yet again there is an absolutely fantastic lineup of artists. Ashok begins teaching at the Yehudi Menuhin School

October 18, 2014
Ashok has been invited to join the staff of the Yehudi Menuhin School as an official Deputy Cello Teacher. He is teaching the cello students of Bartholomew LaFollette several times in October and November, whilst Bartholomew is away.

Highgate International Chamber Music Festival 2013

The HICMF website has just been updated with a fantastic video of concert highlights from the 2012 festival and lots of photos as well. Plans are well under way for the 2013 festival, but HICMF really needs to find additional funding in order to make it a success. Please become a Friend of the festival and spread the word to anyone who might be interested or able to help this amazing chamber music event.

London International Players at the Wigmore Hall - September 19th 2013!

Shostakovich Concerto No.1 in London with Sinfonia Tamesa on March 23rd!

Ashok will be giving a London performance of the Shostakovich Cello Concerto No.1 with Sinfonia Tamesa on Saturday March 23rd. He has stepped in at short notice to replace the previously arranged soloist who has had to pull out due to an injury. All details are now on the concerts page.

CONCERT POSTPONED: Dvorak Concerto on 9th March

Please note that, as listed on the Concerts page, Ashok's Dvorak Concerto performance due to take place with the Amati Orchestra on Saturday 9th March has sadly had to be postponed until a later date.
The orchestra has endured some unforeseen circumstances and very much regrets having to cancel this date, but has asked if Ashok would be able to perform the concerto with them at a later date. Artea Quartet to record Mendelssohn CD!

The Artea Quartet have just been invited to record Mendelssohn's 'Four Pieces' Op.81 for the Champs Hill record label.
The recording will take place in July and the CD should hopefully be released sometime towards the end of 2013.

Conway Hall Beethoven Piano Trio Cycle, Part 2

As a member of the Callaghan Piano Trio, Ashok is performing all of Beethoven's works for piano trio in a cycle of three concerts this season held at London's Conway Hall. 
The first concert took place in November 2012 and the next concert in the series will take place on Sunday 27th January 2013 at 6:30pm. The programme will consist of:

Beethoven: Trio in B flat Op.11
Beethoven: Trio in G Op.1/2
Beethoven: Trio in E flat Op.70/2
