After two and a half fantastic years together, I have
decided to bid farewell to my illustrious friends and colleagues in the
Barbirolli Quartet. The difficult decision was made in order to allow me more
time to devote to further exploring other sides of my career, such as my solo,
duo and trio playing.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Rakhi, Katie and Ella who are
all wonderful people and musicians, and with whom it has been an honour to have
performed all over the world with.
I would also like to thank Sally Richardson - our incredibly hard working agent
at Tashmina Artists who has done so much for the group over the years - and all
our teachers, friends and supporters who helped us enormously whilst I was a
member of the quartet. In particular, I would like to mention our incredible,
music life-changing mentor Professor Eberhard Feltz, The Royal Academy of
Music, Lyndon Jenkins, Tony Wingate and the Wingate Foundation, Philip Carne
and the Richard Carne Trust, Bob Boas and the Nicholas Boas Charitable Trust,
Christian Thompson and the Verbier Festival, John Woolrich and Emily Hoare at
Dartington International Summer School and Bill Lloyd and everyone at Aldeburgh
Music.
I wish the quartet every success for the future.
